My favorite landscape subject is a road. Whether in Texas, Maine or elsewhere, I take great joy in wandering back roads and capturing the moments I travel along them or look to where they disappear in the distance. Who else has travelled the road or walked the path? What conversations took place upon them? There are as many stories as there are roads. No matter the time of day or season of the year the road remains, even if only upon a map or in someone's memory. Roads offer a chance to connect both to our past and to our future.
